We feel honored and happy that two of our wines received excellent reviews by Caroline Gilby MW, one of the most acclaimed British wine writers and experts on Central and Eastern European wine, and author of the book “The Wines of Bulgaria, Romania, and Moldova.” If you still haven’t got a copy of the book, order it now. On 25.06.2020, on JancisRobinson.com, Caroline Gilby MW published her most recent report “Bulgarian Wine Today”, which features a review of review of Villa Melik’s Rare Varieties Melnik Jubilee 1300 . The report emphasizes the advancement of Bulgarian wine and the dynamism of the local wine scene over the last five or so years. The author attributes the recent developments partly to the rise of small, independent wineries, and the sense of experimentation and creativity that they bring in.
