19 Mar Villa Melnik at ProWein 2025
Our participation at the National Stand of Bulgaria during the world’s largest wine exhibition, ProWein in Düsseldorf, Germany (March 16-18, 2025), has successfully concluded!
Our national stand has never been so large and so attractive. A total of 33 small, medium, and large wine producers from all wine regions in the country took part. We are grateful for the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as for the joint efforts of our fellow winemakers!
Two wines from Villa Melnik, APLAUZ CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2021 and RARE VARIETIES SHIROKA MELNIK BUSH VINE 2021, were also showcased at the stand of the gold medalists from the prestigious MUNDUS VINI competition.
MELNIK FAMILY TREE 2022 was presented during a thematic masterclass led by wine expert Stanislav Staikov, who has years of experience in Germany, at the stand of the German wine media Meininger. Just a week ago, MELNIK FAMILY TREE 2022 was included in DiVino’s TOP 50 ranking for 2024.
Earlier this year, Katja Apelt, a wine journalist from Meininger, visited the Melnik region in preparation for an in-depth article about Bulgaria, scheduled for the April issue of the magazine. During her visit to Villa Melnik, she was impressed by the wines made from the Shiroka Melnishka Loza variety and gave one of her highest ratings to Aplauz Shiroka Melnishka 2021.
