Vinification: Applause Chardonnay 2023 – PDO Melnik is the fruit of years of hard work. From a carefully tended vineyard with controlled production in the Vinogradi village area. The grapes are picked by hand, fermented in oak barrels and left for 6 months on the fine lees. Only 994 bottles were produced.
Characteristics: Wine with authentic character. With a beautiful light yellow color with greenish hues. With a rich, lush aroma of ripe pear and hazelnuts, balanced with a pleasant freshness. With a soft, velvety body with notes of butter and nuts, with an elegant structure and a long aftertaste.

For the first time, Villa Melnik Wine Cellar produces wine with PDO Protected Designation of Origin – Melnik. A PDO identifies products originating from a specific region and bearing unique characteristics linked to the geographical origin and the traditional techniques used in their production. There are such quality appellations of origin all over Europe – for example PDO Chianti and PDO Prosecco in Italy; PDO Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne in France, PDO Rioja in Spain, etc. PDO Melnik ranks next to them and is a certificate of quality.
