\u201cMelnik by Rumyana\u201d 2015 is a light and elegant red blend of two indigenous varieties Broad-Leaved Melnik and Melnik 55 (jointly known as Melnik) with some Merlot and Pinot Noir. The grapes are grown in Villa Melnik\u2019s own vineyards by Harsovo, Melnik Region, Bulgaria. This authentic wine has aged in Bulgarian oak barrels in Villa Melnik\u2019s underground tunnel-cellars, deep into the sandy hills behind the winery. It is a delicious blend with depth and complexity, with hints of ripe red fruit and warm spices, with gentle tannins in the finish; a wine that pairs wonderfully with food.<\/p>\n

Rumyana Stoilova is one of Bulgaria\u2019s most promising young winemakers. Villa Melnik Winery is a family-owned estate that produces brave wines from indigenous grapes with a distinct Melnik character.<\/p>\n
