Dear friends, we are delighted to announce that Villa Melnik\u2019s Winemaker, Rumyana Stoilova, is a winner in Naked Wines\u2019 Winemakers Fantasy Contest 2016!<\/p>\n
In order to enter the contest, Rumi and Militza prepared a video entry, describing the dream that Rumi and Villa Melnik share \u2013 to create a wonderful wine from the local Melnik grapes that will will bring back the glory of Melnik wines and will make people around the world fall in love with Bulgarian wines.<\/p>\n
In the first round of the contest, a panel of experts from Naked Wines selected Rumi\u2019s video among videos by winemakers from all over the world. In the second round, current clients of Naked Wines (Angels) as well as non-Angels, could vote for one of eight finalists, including Rumi. In the end, there were three winners in the contest: two are winemakers who already sell via Naked Wines and are familiar to the Angels; and Rumi \u2013 who won the most votes from the non-Angel voters!
\nRumyana\u2019s victory means that over the next year, she will receive support, guidance, and financing from the clients and experts at Naked Wines, so that she can create a wonderful wine from the local Melnik grapes. When the wine is ready, Naked Wines will help Villa Melnik to market and distribute it in the USA, where Naked Wines have over 75,000 subscribed customers! This means that Villa Melnik and the talented Rumyana will have the chance to showcase the full potential of the Melnik grapes and the Bulgarian terroir to the world!
