Purchase Old Vintages from the Enoteca

The Enoteca of Villa Melnik is kept in our cellar, carved into the sandy hill. The underground tunnels, located about 15 meters below the hilltop, consist of two vaults and an underground hall suitable for private tastings. They maintain a constant and natural temperature and humidity year-round – around 15–17°C with 70–80% humidity, which vary slightly depending on weather conditions. Draped in cobwebs, one of the tunnels is even home to a bat. Inside, we play classical music and sounds of nature, believing that these gentle vibrations have a positive effect on the structure of our wines – and on those who drink them.
Under these conditions, we store Villa Melnik’s enoteca wines – setting aside a few bottles from each vintage to see how the wine evolves over the years. Wine, like people, has a life cycle – in its youth it is vibrant and energetic, in its maturity it is at its peak, and at the end of its life it inevitably turns to vinegar.
In the cellar, we keep our most precious aged wines. Some of them are available for purchase – perfect for wine connoisseurs and collectors. Subscribe to our newsletter or send us an inquiry for the current availability of enoteca wines.

Store Your Wine in Our Cellar

Would you like to leave a bottle in storage for your newborn daughter’s graduation, or for your golden wedding anniversary? We can help you fulfill this beautiful tradition by keeping your priceless wine in our cellar.
Together, we will choose the most suitable wine from our portfolio – we can select a specific grape variety, vintage, and even bottle size (wine ages better in a 1.5L magnum than in a 0.75L bottle). We will store your wine for a set number of years, and you will receive a Certificate of Ownership. At any time, you can request your bottle earlier or extend the storage period for several more years.

Eligibility: This service is exclusively available for wines produced by Villa Melnik and is designed for private collectors and sentimental wine enthusiasts.

Release of Wines: Stored wines may be released prematurely at your request or at the end of the agreed-upon period.

Consultation: We offer expert consultation to help you select which wines to store—whether from our current vintages or our private oenotheque collection. Wines can be stored in 0.75L, 1.5L (Magnum), or 3L (Double Magnum) bottles.
