Variety: Melnik 55- 100% (late harvest)
Alcohol: 15.5 % vol.
Winemaking: The grapes were picked three weeks after the grapes for dry wines and left to further dry on racks in an airy place far from direct sunlight in order to additionally concentrate the sugars and aromas. 80g residual grape sugar/liter. No added sugar or sweetener!
The wine was bottled after TWO YEARS AGING IN OAK BARRELS.
Tasting Notes: Deep purple color with signs of aging. The nose is complex and deep with candied fruit, caramel, fig preserve, nuts, walnut oil, orange peel, Christmas spices, nutmeg, Excellent balance between sweetness and acidity. The finish is long and intense.
Food pairings: dark chocolate desserts, Madeira cake, aged cheeses, tiramisu, toffee pudding, aged cheese and caramelized nuts.
