For the first time, Villa Melnik is introducing wine with the highest level of quality in the EU – “Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) – Melnik”.
PDO is an indicator of quality in EU’s wine classification system. It identifies products originating from a specific region and carrying unique characteristics related to their geographical origin and the traditional techniques used in their production.
When you choose wines with the quality designation PDO Melnik, you can be sure that you are getting a product that carries the unique characteristics of the Melnik terroir and the traditional practices of our region.

ABOUT THE WINE:
Aplauz Chardonnay 2023 – PDO Melnik is the result of years of hard work. From carefully tended vineyards with controlled yields in the village of Vinogradi. The grapes are hand-picked, fermented in oak barrels, and aged for 6 months on fine lees.
Only 994 bottles were produced.
A wine with authentic character. With a beautiful light yellow color with greenish hues. Rich, lush aroma of ripe pear and hazelnuts, balanced with pleasant freshness. Soft, velvety body with notes of butter and nuts, with elegant structure and a long finish.
