Characteristics
About the variety
Villa Melnik is one of the few producers growing Mavrud in the Melnik region. Like Broad-Leaved Melnik, it is late-ripening, but the warm summers and mild autumns of the region allow full sugar and tannin maturity. Our Mavrud produces wines that are dense, soft, and fruit-forward.
