Villa Melnik is delighted to invite you to a spring celebration in honor of Lazarovden, which will be held on April 12, 2025 at our winery.
Every year, on this bright and colorful holiday we invite young and old, maidens and bachelors, who bring the spirit of love and the joy of life. On this day, we rise early to gather fresh flowers and willow branches to weave beautiful wreaths and bouquets, celebrating the sunshine and the beauty of nature.
Lazarovden or St. Lazarus’ Day is one of the colorful customs of the Easter holiday cycle. It originates from the biblical legend of the resurrected St Lazarus and symbolizes the rebirth of new life.
Willow branches, wine tours, traditional dances and music are just part of the program
Our event is inspired by the awakening of nature, Bulgarian traditions, art, and, of course, wine. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy:
• Wine tastings – white, red, rosé and orange wine.
• Art bazaar and creative workshops for all ages.
• Farmer’s bazaar with authentic local products.
• Folklore program with traditional music and dance.
• Wine tours of the winery – from the vineyards to the cellar.
