July Мелник 2026: Вино и музика със Стефан Вълдобрев

For the 10th consecutive year, we welcomed the July morning sun over a sea of vineyards! The anniversary edition of July Melnik 2026 turned into an unforgettable wine event, with Bulgarian music, aromatic Melnik wine, and dancing until dawn. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the guests who were part of this magical night and shared the even more unforgettable sunrise on the hill with us.

The Beginning: Camping under the stars, cellar tours, and the “Game of Aromas”

Early in the afternoon, the hill above the winery began to fill with tents and campers. Before the main program kicked off, the doors of Villa Melnik were open for our signature wine tours and tastings. Shortly after 6:30 PM, our new host officially launched the program on the hill.

The official wine program began at 7:00 PM with our favorite “Game of Aromas”. Both children and adults tested their senses, tackling the challenging but fun sniffing tasks prepared by Kris. Of course, the sharpest noses walked away with special prizes. Just before sunset, the sky above the winery filled with colorful kites, creating a unique and incredibly beautiful festival of freedom.

The Wine Bar: The best of the Melnik terroir

We welcomed our guests with a rich wine bar, where iconic Bulgarian wine took center stage. Thanks to Nadezhda and Sun Valley Experience, everyone’s glasses remained full throughout the night.

Fresh indigenous grape varieties like Sandanski Misket and Keratsuda flowed in abundance, but guests could also enjoy classic Sauvignon Blanc, Bergulé Rosé, as well as perfectly chilled Bergulé Melnik & Pinot Noir. True connoisseurs raised their glasses filled with our flagship classics – Aplauz Melnik 55 and Shiroka Melnishka Loza. The bar also featured authentic souvenirs, allowing guests to take a piece of Melnik back home.

Delicious food and a refreshing show

To keep everyone energized and ready for the dance floor, Emo and Eva from Eva Wine & Food took care of the catering. Their juicy burgers, grilled meats, french fries, and homemade pastries filled the hill with mouth-watering aromas until midnight. In the morning, they greeted the early risers with hot aromatic coffee, warm croissants, and delicious traditional fried dough (mekitsi).

We also beat the hot summer sun with delicious Thai-style rolled ice cream from Kyustendil, courtesy of our friends from “Tihiya Kat” (The Quiet Nook), who turned its preparation into a fantastic “2-in-1” performance.

The Main Stage: Stefan Valdobrev and Obichaynite Zapodozreni (Usual suspects) ignite the hill

As the sun set, it was time for the true stars to take the stage. The music began with Veselin Veselinov – Eko and Ilko Gradev, who took us on a musical journey through sunny Spain, exotic Brazil, and romantic France with classic tunes.

Then, we returned to our roots. The irreplaceable Stefan Valdobrev joined them on stage, and the singing and dancing officially began under the motto “Po-poleka” (Take it easy)! The party was in full swing as Stefan Valdobrev & Obichaynite Zapodozreni performed both their latest hits and eternal classics. The entire crowd was jumping in “white sneakers and worn-out jeans,” singing along at the top of their lungs to beloved Bulgarian hits.

Right after them, it was time for pure rock! The band Black Rose from Blagoevgrad shook the hill with their incredible energy, original tracks, and legendary rock classics – from Blagoevgrad rock and AC/DC to American blues and rock ‘n’ roll. Throughout the entire night, DJ Kiril Gunchev kept the vibes immaculate, and we owe him a huge thank you.

The Sunrise: The Great bonfire and Uriah Heep

The music quieted down for just a couple of hours so we could gather our strength. As dawn began to break, we gathered with cups of coffee in hand to sing along to Uriah Heep’s classic: “There I was on a July morning…” Just before the first rays of light appeared, the owners of Villa Melnik lit the great bonfire, providing a magical backdrop to welcome the morning sun over the Struma Valley.
